Initial Planning

The engine bay was a little untidy. Wires left right and centre and a number of bad earths caused a few minor dramas, especially with the starter solenoid. The engine bay certainly wasn't from factory.  The engine shown here is the newer 1275 A+ that was fitted. Additionally, the brake booster shown in the pictures is a VH44 brake booster (from an old Valiant) that was fitted due to some pedal efficiency issues. This was repurposed in the rebuild with the new custom disc brake setup I fitted during the restoration.
​A few changes to the body were planned also. The below images show the pages I compiled for the panel beater/spray painter to highlight the areas I needed to fix and paint and the body work I was up for.
